I grew up in central Arkansas, loving the warm and humid summer nights with their sodium orange glow. I've always had a deep appreciation for the strange comingling of quiet and loud that comes from living in an urban area bounded by rural nature. My studies took me from a year of struggle at the University of Tennessee, to two years of growth at Hendrix college, and finally to learning and understanding at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where I received my BA in Studio Art with an emphasis in drawing.

Through sheer luck, fate, will of the universe, or whatever else you want to call it, I met the center and foundation of my life, my wife Maria, and have learned to see all over again in the years since. With her at my side I've evolved from a haphazard artist into one with a sense of purpose in my work. She's not only the love of my life but the best editor I've ever known.

I've exhibited my work both regionally and across the nation. My work can be found in private collections nationally, including venues in and around central Arkansas, like the Historic Arkansas Museum and Hendrix College. 2011 has given me a full slate of exhibitions to pursue and 2012 promises even more.
